The WoW Forever leveling guide starts with a confirmed level 1–60 journey through Azeroth, with more than 1,000 new quests and no level scaling. Blizzard also rules out flying mounts, so travel and the level of local content matter when choosing where to go. The available official material supports a progression overview and preparation advice, but it does not establish a fastest route or a total time to level 60.
01
Understand the world before choosing a route
Forever revisits the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor with both familiar places and new adventures. Blizzard describes the world as central to the experience, emphasizing exploration, social encounters and the journey itself. A route remembered from another WoW version can be a starting question, but its quest order and rewards need checking in this client.
Without level scaling, inspect the levels and requirements visible in your actual quest log before a long trip. Combine objectives that genuinely lead to the same area, and leave room to return for training or supplies when your character needs them. These are preparation suggestions rather than measured claims about experience per hour.
02
Starting characters and Zephras Isle
Zephras Isle is the announced Skyborne starting experience for levels 1 through 12. Skyborne choose Horde or Alliance at character creation, with Shaman available to the Horde and Mage available to the Alliance, alongside shared Warrior, Hunter, Rogue and Druid choices. Check your group's faction before creating characters you intend to play together.
The official product page requires the Skyborne Heroic Pack or a higher edition for the race and its starting questline. A subscription or game-time requirement for Forever does not establish that every account has this entitlement. Other starting paths and their exact quest order need confirmation in the current game rather than an assumed replacement route.
03
Riverglades and the new regions
Riverglades is described as covering much of the mid-30s to mid-40s journey, with more than 150 new quests. It is a frontier of rivers, grasslands, trade routes and communities with competing concerns. That broad level band helps orient a future visit, but it is not a tested rule that every character should remain there for every level in that range.
Mount Hyjal explores the aftermath of Archimonde's defeat and includes Darkwhisper Gorge. Shen'dralas lies between Mulgore and Desolace, connecting the Shen'dralar, Eldre'Thalas, Dire Maul and the region's centaur history. The overview does not provide a complete level-by-level itinerary through those destinations or verified travel coordinates.
04
Class progression and talent checkpoints
The official class deep dive places ordinary talent access at level 10, with Dual Specialization available at level 40. Familiar milestone talents require 11, 21 or 31 invested points, and Forever adds a 16-point milestone. Those tree investment numbers are different from character levels, so read the prerequisites before planning when a specific ability will become available.
Visit a class trainer in a major city when changing talents, including Legacy talents. Review current ability and talent descriptions as you level, because Blizzard explicitly allows further beta changes. A chosen solo or group role should guide the tools you test, without treating an untested build as the fastest leveling setup.
05
Rested experience and Legacy progression
The Legacy interface unlocks after your first Legacy Point, typically at level 25, or through the announced profession or exploration alternatives. Its Adventure tree includes Well Rested, which increases rested experience accumulation and its cap. Talented can allow talent points to unlock up to five levels earlier, while Frequent Flier affects flight speed and cost.
Those perks offer progression choices, but their announcement does not supply an experience-rate multiplier for this guide. Each non-Hardcore character selects its own perks from shared account points, with a launch spending cap of 16. Choose according to the activities you actually use, and read the current values before claiming a measurable leveling advantage.
06
Food, professions and roadside camps
Blizzard announces adjusted crafted food that can grant stat benefits and a small experience bonus. The cited overview does not state one universal percentage that can be applied to all food or every character. Inspect the actual recipe and food buff rather than budgeting a route around a guessed multiplier.
Camping expands Cooking's campfire into a shared place for rest, services, workspaces and one-hour buffs. Nearby players can add profession objects, and some of those buffs overlap with class buffs instead of stacking. A planned rest stop can help with preparation and coordination, but no time saving or experience-per-hour result has been measured here.
07
Dungeons and playing with others
Blizzard announces nine new dungeons alongside the wider Azeroth journey. The Legacy system also groups dungeon challenges into level 15–25, 26–45 and 46–60 categories, which are challenge brackets rather than an entrance-level chart for each dungeon. Confirm the actual destination, party roles and available quests before organizing a trip.
Forever's systems overview describes separate Normal, PvP and Roleplaying rulesets, with players grouping inside the same ruleset. Horde and Alliance remain separate, so agree on both faction and ruleset when leveling with friends. A dungeon group can provide a different experience from solo questing, but this material does not rank either approach by speed or rewards.
08
How to compare a route honestly
If you test a route, record the client build, starting level, class, equipment, group size and rested experience. Include travel, training, recovery and unsuccessful attempts in the time you report. A result from one character under those conditions is useful evidence, but it does not automatically prove the route is best for another class or level range.
The announced quest totals describe planned content rather than proof that every quest is accessible in the current beta. Avoid presenting a copied Classic itinerary as a verified Forever guide, or converting a player's estimate into a universal completion time. Pending confirmation: A complete route needs current quest checks and practical testing that are outside the evidence available here.
