WoW Forever is a separate Blizzard MMORPG journey in original Azeroth. It is not a new Classic season. A familiar zone or spell name does not guarantee identical rules, so learn from your installed Forever client rather than an old character guide.
01
Official rules to know
As of October 8, 2026, the game is in beta. The announced launch is November 4 at 3:00 p.m. PST and the level cap is 60. The world has no level scaling and no flying mounts. Choosing suitable enemies and preparing for travel therefore matter from your first session.
02
Your practical checklist
- Check your account’s beta access on the official website before planning to play.
- Choose the Forever client and select a class for the role you want to learn.
- Read your opening abilities and keep a defensive response on an accessible key.
- Complete nearby introductory quests and watch how your class spends its resource.
- At level 10, read the updated talent tree rather than importing a Classic build.
03
What to do next
After the opening quests, learn talents, Legacy and professions. Tell a first group whether you intend to tank, heal or deal damage. A class ranking cannot replace liking a playstyle; use early quests to decide whether the controls and role feel comfortable.

Beta version and sources
This is an official-rules introduction, not a tested fastest route. Access, client menus and talent tuning can change during beta. Subscription access to the final game and participation in the test are separate questions.
